Dublin Scioto, though not perfect, treated me well. Most of my teachers have been great supporters of me throughout my high school years. I was able to take college classes and receive college credits mu Junior and Senior year. This was a great opportunity for me and put me ahead for College.

While I am enrolled in Dublin Scioto High School, I have not attended more than 3 periods a year. This is because my district offers a secondary option for education: Emerald Campus, where everyone from all three schools in the district meet together. This has provided me with an interesting perspective of my school, and I've engaged in many types of learning because of this. The best part is being able to keep long-term friendships from my homeschool while meeting new people at the same time. I am trusted as a student to go to my classes in between both buildings and manage my time as travel can be difficult. I believe that while Emerald Campus is awesome, it hinders the opportunities educationally for the students at my homeschool Scioto. Many times, I find my peers and friends making a decision between the two, and often they do not feel confident in their abilities to perform well. I would like to see some of the classes at the other building integrated into my school.

Overall, I think that if you compare Dublin Scioto High School to most public high schools in general, it is outstanding. However, when you compare it to the other high schools in the Dublin City Schools district, it lags behind the other two. I think that it is an outstanding school, but I have always felt that the other two cast a shadow over Scioto in many ways.

Dublin Scioto High School has helped to connect me with some of my closet friends and has been able to further my education. I am an avid member of the Drama Club at DSHS and I see that as a second home for me. Being in theater at Scioto has taught me to become confident in myself and I've created some beautiful relationships with people through it. I am happy and proud to be able to say that Dublin Scioto was my high school and I am happy that I ended up here.

Fantastic student support, very positive environment, and a ton of class offerings. Plus, the economic, social, and ethnic diversity of the student body is incredible, resulting in an environment that broadens students' worldview.

Dublin Scioto is a great school with much to offer. However the greatest part about Scioto is its caring staff. No matter the time even if it is during their only break they are always willing to help. Scioto has a genuine group of staff that want whats best for their students.

the teachers were so amazing! they always tried to make connections with their students! The worst part was probably when we went hybrid and had to go half online half in person.

I have lived in many different places for many different reasons. While Dublin Scioto Highschool is not the worst place i’ve been, since the diversity and therefore inclusivity is rather good, it’s definitely not the best. My experience at this school was different each year of highschool. The school seems rather “segregated” by the student body; not because of the staff. The kids of the same race all hang out in clusters, and people will talk if you don’t stay in your specific group. The bullying problem has gotten better, but the lack of discipline of the “bad” kids who find joy and humor in mentally and physically destroying other students have made attending this school a much scarier place. People will pick on you and nothing will be done about it. There will be constant shooting and bombing threats and the staff will still tell you to stay in the building. The teachers aren’t kind, but they in no way hold students accountable for their actions. This is Dublin Scioto Highschool.

Best parts would probably be the variety of choices but along with those benefits, one of the drawbacks is that those choices are not made clear and the counselors aren’t really invested in your future. There are some high quality educators but there are also some teachers that should not be there.

Overall, I loved the diversity and different events in the Scioto community including Global Cafe, football games, and pep rallies. However, I did see some issues in monitoring kids' behaviors efficiently, staff getting too hot-headed, and it felt like Scioto was valued less than the other Dublin high schools.

I have attended Scioto High School for 4 years, and attended during Covid-19. I feel as if my school adapted very well to the adversity that Covid created. I have never had a teacher that I didn't enjoy being in their class. I have met some of my greatest mentors and greatest friends at Scioto.

The majority of the teachers I had or talked to during school events were always nice. I enjoyed the majority of the classes I took there, and made some great friends there. The school is very diverse and has a great cultural environment. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that the school lunch was always bad. the sandwiches either always had burnt bread or soggy bread, and they had breakfast for lunch way too many times. Never trust mass amounts of scrambled eggs. However, the hot lunch line also had some of my favorite things, like the "good" Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Pluses and minuses. The only other knock against it is that they have vending machines that only work after the buses leave, meaning if you can't drive, or can't stay after school you'll never get to use them.

Diversity is basically the motto of my school. There are flags of nearly every country plastered on the ceiling of the cafeteria, there are so many different people from so many different backgrounds. The "IRISH Way" is our way of keeping integrity, respect, individual responsibility, service, and high expectations as values for staff and students. School lunches are great. There's lots of diversity in courses and many options for advanced learning. Students with disabilities have ample opportunities to have the same experience as their peers. School activities are plentiful and unique, and the faculty takes extra measures to ensure the happiness and safety of the students.

I absolutely love it here at DSHS. From the staff to students, Dublin Scioto I believe make that best people outta the 3 High Schools in DCS. We do get treated like we are nothing by the district sometimes, but it helps build our character. It also is because of where the school is located that doesn’t allow us to be as financially successful. Don’t get me wrong, we aren’t bad at all, I just believe we have a strong potential to be the best we have ever been. The school itself is amazing, we just get treated like a bug from the outside perspective.

When I first came to Dublin Scioto Highschool I was nervous.. I had just moved from a school that didn't except me for who I was and I didn't know what to expect. But when I got here I immediately fell in love. They had students of all backgrounds and ethnicitys and I just finally felt like this was the place I belonged. And I'm happy to graduate from this school this upcoming May.
